how many times have i told you that i love what i'm doing??

kelihatannya seperti hasil kerja saya semakin mantap especially extraction. kalau dulu, asal gigi tak boleh keluar atau fracture je mesti saya kena panggil doctor yang lebih senior untuk membantu. tapi lately, sy akan usaha sendiri sampai gigi tersebut dapat keluar. and the victory is sure sweet. terima kasih kakak-kakak dan abang2 (eh abang ada 1 je) sebab selama ni dah mengajar saya secara sabar......

a few days ago,,a patient came untuk cabut gigi. 45 dia mobile grade 3 dah. as usual, kena lah bius dulu. setelah beberapa minggu memerhatikan doktor2 lain bekerja, sy tertarik mengamalkan teknik 1 shot untuk gigi mobile dengan kelajuan deposit LA yang lebih laju sedikit dari biasa. i inserted the needle at the buccal of the tooth, and deposit the LA with all my might. tiba2 gigi tu melantun keluar dari soket. melantun okay. macam tiba2 die poooofff!! terkeluar. memang terkejut aku. terus terkial2 cari tweezer. tak perlu pakai forcep pon.

hebat x aku?? (vain)

Work Life

Di suatu hari yang indah, ada patient majistret memerlukan rawatan di klinik.

"Majistret tu peguam eh?" aku konon2 peramah nak berbual dengan Tuan patient..

kreekk krekk kreekkk *sepi 5 saat*

Sekarang rasa macam nak sorok muka bawah bantal sambil lempang muka sendiri laju2. General knowledge aku memang fail!

Doc Hollywood

Honestly,

i miss being a student.

but on the bright side, i love working! i don't have to fuss and go around the kampung searching for patients to tend the next day. Now, patients come to me. with all sorts of cases.

Some cases are very rare while some are common. 

TODAY

A baby boy came with his parents to the clinic. The parents claimed that their baby had a 'spring' hooked to the baby's gum. Upon examination, nothing was found in the oral cavity. My fingers were bitten several times by the baby and boy it hurts. We officers ordered a chest xray, and although we prayed so hard that the 'spring' didnt get swallowed by the boy, well, too bad the metal object is now in his body. 

During history taking, the parents told us what actually happened the previous 8 hours.

6 HOURS PRIOR

The parents rushed their baby to the Emergency at 2 am. 

At that moment, the 'spring' is hooked to the baby's upper left gum. The father had tried to unhook the thing but he wasn't really sure on how to do it, despite having his son crying his uvula out, he panicked so he went straight to the hospital. I am so disappointed knowing that the attendant/officer at the emergency ordered the parents to see us when the clinic opens at 8am in the morning. 

Even though its just a tiny winny case, the person in charged at the emergency should have called the dental officer on call if they are too shallow to handle it. 

now, the baby had swallowed the metal thing which obviously tends to hooked easily.

p/s: i must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. Macam2 hal tak kena dengan aku harini. contact lense hilang sebelah, laptop tertinggal dalam kereta, nasi goreng tertinggal kat rumah, luxate gigi pelan2 pon crown boleh fracture, dll. tak best betolllll laaaaaaaaaa.

oh pastuuu,, tibe2 aku teringat cerita Michael J Fox, Doc Hollywood. ada budak kecik masukkan fire brigade ng fireman dalam hidung/telinga die. Hari pertama datang ada fire brigade dalam hidung/telinga die. hari berikutnya doc tu check ada fireman pulak. Rupenye budak tu nak selamatkan anjing/kucing yg turut berada dalam lubang hidung/telinga die. 

pandai jugak budak tu.

eh jap, betul ke tu cerita Doc Hollywood??????????

♥ 3rd DAY ♥

3rd day of work was awesome!! i think my skills are getting better by day. i feel like a student again! but this time it feels waaaaaay better! i get to prescribed the drugs on my own, with my own signature, and i get to give people mc's.. how cool is that??? HAHAHA..

If you are working in a government clinic, u have to work fast. as for a fresh graduate like me, i am still in the process to speed things up. imagine having 35 patients a day!! my ekstrimitas are all aching. When i was a student, i get exhausted by doing just 4 patients a day. can u see the difference?? no, can u imagine that?? (=,=")

All in all, it is better working and graduating than not graduating and stalling your degree. kenapa perlu membazir masa belajar lama2?? padahal bekerja itu lebih enak dan membahagiakan? :)

note to self: kerja kena ikhlas. bukan sebab nak dapat paycheck by the end of the 2nd month. T___T

tapi aku memang ikhlas pn bekerja. ikhlas. ikhlas..........

♥ 2nd day ♥

2nd day of work is awesome! Earlier the boss said i should start doing outpatient (OP) on Wednesday. But turns out i started OP on my 2nd day! At first i was a bit shocked but my asistant helped me through out the day. My first patient was a lady who wants to clean her teeth so i performed scaling on her. Before that the boss thought me how to chart and i was a bit slow at first but speed up through out the day.

I had about 30patients yesterday. And of course there are a few failures and i do feel like crying. But as my friends and senior officers told me, thats what learning is all about.

My last patient of the day kinda gave me a big laugh in the heart.

Me: okay aunty, whats the problem?
The patient: doktor, gigi saya masam la.
Me: ape? Masam? Mcm mane tu?

Patient tu tunjuk premolar kanan kiri bawah dia. Tibe2 die hisap.

The patient: ha tu masam. Keluar air byk masam.
Me: ???

Okay korg rase kenape dgn patient tu?

FIRST DAY OF WORK

Today was my first day of work. Got up at 5.30 and hit the road by 6.30. i was expecting to be a bit sleepy since i have been waking up late for the past 7 months of unemployment. but no,,i got up with a fresh mind and positively thinking that today will turned out just fine. i arrived at the office in Pontian by 7.30am which to my surprise is quite early than expected! i had timed my journey on Saturday and it actually took me 1 and a half hours to reach the office with no traffic. So i planned to get out at 6.40am tomorrow morning and see how it goes.

As for my first day, i get to assist in 2 cases. one is classified as accidents and emergencies and the other one is an MOS. my boss is super cool. and my kakak nurse is super nice. i'm loving them already. there's like a lotttt of staffs in the clinic and i actually remember only a few names. i will try and memorize all of them by the end of this week. but wait, thurs and friday is a holiday!! oyeay! 

i got out of work at 1 and hit the road again and went straight to Jalan Air Molek in Johor Bahru. i had to sort things with my KWSP and turns out i already have em since 2004!! thank you Parkson! the major turn-off today was knowing that i will only get my salary after 2 months! T____T but its okay though, i've been living without a salary for ages so a couple of months won't be a problem. :) 

on the bright side, my first salary should be double the salary right?? right?? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I am now an official maxis postpaid user. .*\(^▽^)/*

Yesterday i went to maxis centre at Danga Bay with my mum to switch the network plan. I feel more contented now as i wont have to topup my credit everytime the bis subscription is cancelled. Now i have full access to internet! Yeay! It feels soooo good.

Other than that, this is one of my preparation in order to integrate into a working Arina. Having a postpaid line is waaay safe as i wont have to worry about the credit. I am Looking forward to extract lots of teeth!!!

Preparations???

Lets see,

1. A copy of my SPM certificate along with the original cert (CHECK!)
2. A copy of my final year transcript. (CHECK!) Alhamdulillah final year memang the best!! okay yg ni i bangga sikit nak tunjuk kt mereka. HAHA. 
3. A copy of my birth certificate. (CHECK!)
4. A pen. pen parker i dah rosak, so bwk my sister punye pen je. haha. 
5. A note pad (CHECK!)
6. Sepersalinan baju kurung. (CHECK!)
7. Alamak kasot belom adeee.. takpe esok Kak Long bg pinjam/beli baru je :)
8. Knowledge. okay yg ni 80% insyaAllah dah ade.
9. Peneman/driver/Kak Long (CHECK!) ;p
10. Doa dan tawakal..

Ade pape lagi tertinggal tak? huhhh...
